Lawn mower running rough after hitting rock

Today I ran over a small hidden stump with my Honda lawn mower (non-riding). Its about 6 months old. When I ran over it the mower completely and suddenly stopped. It restarted fine but the engine ran extremely rough. When I engage the blade it runs a little smoother but still very rough. As soon as I dis-engage the blade the mower feels like it ...

Riding Mowers & Tractors: Runs rough or misfires. If the engine runs rough or misfires, it could have a clogged carburetor. Rebuild or replace the carburetor if it's clogged. I mow about 1/2 acre, till a small garden, and usually plough snow as it seems better than snow blowing because it clears the snow better and we get a lot of it. Anyway my mower is starting to rust through and I am scalping some lawn much to my wife's disgust.

Rebuild or replace the carburetor if it's clogged. If the engine runs rough after hitting a rock or stump, check the flywheel key-a damaged flywheel key will disrupt the ignition timing. Check for fuel, oil or carbon deposits on the spark plug. Replace the spark plug if it's fouled. Bad fuel causes a rough-running engine.
